Running a Solana validator requires 64GB RAM and enterprise-grade hardware ($15k+). The 5% inflation rewards don't cover costs unless you have 100K+ SOL staked. Small validators are getting squeezed out

Ledger support is buggy – sometimes transactions fail but gas still burns. Have to use phantom.app as intermediary, which defeats the purpose of cold storage
